The first RGS-ICYL was organized and hosted by student leaders of Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary) in 2006, with the theme “Empowering Leading Ladies for the World Stage”. A gathering of female student leaders from local and international institutions, the RGS-ICYL serves as a global platform for female youth leaders with diverse cultual and leadership backgrounds to exchange their ideas and experiences, thus gaining a better understanding of how they can contribute to society as female leaders.
As such, we aim to raise a heightened sense of awareness about female leadership in female youth leaders around the world, in terms of realizing the unique complementary role they play in the male-dominated leadership arena, as well as understanding how they can active creators of a better age for all.
In the spirit of caring, sharing and learning, the RGS-ICYL seeks to nurture delegates into visionary and globally-aware student leaders.
